On the Internet, in forums, on Facebook, etc. we see quotes from various spiritual masters/teachers and share videos and texts. Many people think that when they quote wise people and share their wise words, their wisdom will somehow “jump” to the quoting/sharing person. But after observing this happening for a long time, I found out that no matter how many videos/quotes there are on the Internet, from any number of spiritual masters, nothing significant changes for the individual quoting just by watching the videos…
Why is that so? Because spiritual development is such an individual path that it is physically and psychologically non-transferable and unique. Every single person has his own individual, unique blocks, negatives and positives, life path, talents and assumptions that he must overcome, process himself. And doing this takes a lot of effort, renunciation, targeted and purposeful work on oneself, which are often accompanied by physical and psychological pressures. That’s why there are so few enlightened masters and that’s why so few people can and want to work on themselves, because it’s very, very difficult and painful for an earthly person… It’s much easier to talk about it and watch videos and fantasize about what it would be like …
We must therefore realize and not lie to ourselves and others that no matter how much we praise the spiritual masters, our own inner individual state will not change at all. Any chatter and fantasizing about work is no work at all.
