Since we announced Walk for the World, so many of you have expressed your enthusiasm and gratitude. To ensure an impactful experience on September 23, we wanted to take a moment to answer some of the most common questions we’ve been hearing from the community.
What time should I walk?
Everyone is encouraged to start their walk as close as possible to 10 a.m. EDT so this is a simultaneous event. For Australia/New Zealand/East Asia, you can walk at 10 a.m. AEST on Saturday, September 23. If neither of these times are ideal, feel free to walk when it’s most convenient. Please use a time zone converter to check your local time.
How do I connect with other people in my area?
More than 2,100 groups have been created around the world. If you’d like to walk with other people in your area, check the map at www.walkforthe.world to see if a group has been established, or create your own group by selecting “+ Add a Group.” You can also connect on Telegram or WhatsApp through the map.
Can I invite others to join?
We encourage you to help spread the word to your friends, family, and local communities (e.g., your gym, church, etc.). Bonus points for sharing the event on social media. Feel free to download and post the image below.

How else can I prepare for the walk?
